On march 9th, msg systems ag has appointed Dr. Christian Hofer, former board member at HUK-COBURG as head of their supervisory board. Dr. Hofer replaces Dr. h.c. Erwin Conradi, who is resigning his post due to age reasons. The supervisory board now consists of Dr. Christian Hofer, Friedemann Sievi, employee representatives Volker Brendemühl and Benno Hartmann, as well as co-owners Herbert Enzbrenner und Pius Pflügler.
“Dr. Conradi has supported msg systems ag since its foundation with his enormous management experience and made a considerable contribution to the success of the business,” says CEO Hans Zehetmaier of the departing chairman, “We are thrilled to have found a worthy successor in Dr. Christian Hofer. As a designated insurance expert and long-time management board member of a large insurance company he will have valuable impact here – especially in our important insurance business division.”
Until recently, business mathematician Dr. Christian Hofer (63) was a management board member at HUK-COBURG. In this role he oversaw the development and market entry of HUK-COBURG Health Insurance AG. In addition, as head of the IT and Business Organization department he was instrumental in the foundation of the online insurer HUK24. Hofer headed up the committee for ‘Business Administration and Information Technology’ for the Association of German Insurers (GDV) until the end of 2009.
“For many years now I have been following msg systems’ growth into one of the six biggest IT consulting and system integration companies in Germany”, says Dr. Hofer, “And I look forward immensely to being a part of this innovative company and to have the opportunity of sharing the expertise I have gained over my 21 years of management board activity.”
